. Starting with size 68, we use the (buttonless) American collar opening for our baby bodysuits rather than the wrap design. This is because babies now have enough neck muscles and putting the bodysuit on over the head is easy. In addition, babies are beginning to move more and more on the changing table. Fewer buttons therefore make it much easier to put on and take off, and the baby's body still remains warm and protected up to the neck.

Long and short-sleeved baby bodysuitss

. Newborns lose four times as much heat as adults - even in high summer. That's why our baby bodysuits in the smallest sizes (46 - 56) are exclusively long-sleeved. From size 62 (up to size 98) we offer both long-sleeved and short-sleeved bodies, because from this size the baby's body is already so far along that the heat regulation works better. Therefore, depending on the temperature of the day, you can choose between short-sleeved and long-sleeved bodysuits.

Rounded leg opening

. Our rounded leg opening improves the fit of the diaper and further secures it in place.

100% organic cotton in high quality interlock knitting

. Quality you can feel and see: Unlike most conventional baby bodysuits (fine rib!), our bodysuits are made of high staple (long threads), Egyptian and GOTS-certified organic cotton in high-quality interlock knitting technique. This makes the fabric so incomparably soft and durable - even after multiple washings.

Best raw material

. Egyptian cotton is long staple and is characterized by its particularly long fibers. This allows very thin and particularly fine threads to be spun, which are responsible for the soft fabric of the bodies. In the interlock knitting technique, two yarns are processed in such a way that the stitch pattern shows only right stitches on the inside as well as on the outside. This creates a firm and denser surface and a high form stability is preserved.

GOTS certification

The GOTS certification (Global Organic Textile Standards) distinguishes natural textiles whose standards stand for strict ecological criteria along the entire production chain. For example, our fiber producers must act in accordance with organic farming guidelines in order to obtain certification. In addition, all farms in the supply chains must be certified and undergo an on-site inspection once a year in order for the end products to carry the GOTS seal.

Flat seams

. To protect your baby's very sensitive skin in the first months, all our wrap bodysuit are made with high-quality flat seams. This makes the bodies even more comfortable to wear - even with neurodermatitis and very sensitive skin - and minimizes the risk of skin irritation.

Press studs to button under

. Because snaps are more durable and much more practical to use than bows, and because babies should mostly lie on their backs in the first few months, we opted for this simple solution to close the baby bodysuits.

Without shield in the neck

. Our bodysuits do not have scratchy tags on the neck or leg openings - These can scratch and itch baby very quickly. Our baby bodysuits are printed inside the bodysuit so they don't bother the little one. Externally, you can recognize our Tom&Jenny baby bodysuits by the lemon yellow semicircle in the neck.

Romper or baby bodysuit - what is actually the difference?

Again and again we hear from our customers how beautiful and soft our rompers are. But we do not sell rompers, but baby bodysuits. Therefore, we would like to briefly explain the difference here.

In general, we can say that the bodysuit is the baby's underwear. The body serves as the first layer of clothing and is pulled under everything underneath. It wraps around the baby like a second skin and protects it. That is why it is especially important to pay attention to the quality of the baby bodysuit. Because no piece of clothing comes as close to the baby's skin as the baby bodysuit. In addition, the bodysuit gives the diaper a better grip.

However, this does not exclude the fact that the garment can not also be part of the outfit of the little one. For example, in the summer in warm temperatures it is quite enough to put on the baby only a bodysuit. And even if it is not quite so warm, the baby bodysuit can be quite visible part of the outfit. With its plain white, the Tom&Jenny baby bodysuit is ideal for all kinds of color or pattern combinations of baby outfits.

The romper, on the other hand, is not so much underwear, but a garment in the outerwear category that is usually worn over the baby bodysuit. The romper is a one-piece suit that, unlike the baby bodysuit, also encloses the legs and often the feet. Especially while the child is still small, it serves as a very practical garment that is everything in one: pants, shirt and socks. Nothing can slip and the baby remains fully dressed, even after big cuddles and romps. The little ones keep their freedom of movement and are still wrapped comfortably warm. Most often, it is closed between the legs or on the side with snaps. In addition, the romper is usually made of much thicker fabric than baby bodysuits / underwear.

As a general rule, rompers are fine until toddlers can walk; baby bodysuits, on the other hand, are worn by toddlers until they potty-train on their own. Both vary from child to child, of course. Rompers, however, are usually worn in the first year of life and bodysuits in the first three years of life.
